A group of Guatemalan health care providers with history of personal, academic, professional and administrative experiences in the USA and Europe became inspired to develop Residencias Bosque Real.

The Board of Directors is formed by members with experience in health care delivery in the first world. However, most importantly, we are also children and grandchildren of Seniors who have required to be assisted extensively to remain healthy and happy. This has allowed us to acquire empathy and knowledge to better understand and address the frequently complicated needs of older adults.

This institution has been design attempting to maintain the standards of care provided by assisted living facilities in the USA and Europe, while doing it in the context of the caring warmth and respect that we Guatemalans profess to Seniors.

Administratively, we are lucky to have a team of very organized, enthusiastic, responsible, bilingual people who are always willing to meet the needs of our residents and their families.

In our health monitoring department, we have in house visiting doctors, who are experienced on Senior Health issues, and who keep wonderful relationships with the best doctors in the country. This allows good monitoring of compliance regarding the resident’s physician recommendations.

Our nurses not only are a group of caring professionals, but also have been prepared to deal with conditions much more incapacitating than any of our residents usually have in this type of setting.

Our people in charge of occupation and physical conditioning are also professionals trained to provide the resident with an array of activities that keeps him or her not only entertained but physically and mentally sharp

The housekeeping and maintenance team has been selected looking for people who are honest and efficient, but who also have the ability to communicate kindly and respectfully with Seniors.

Finally, Residencias Bosque Real is a team of people who are trained and capable to provide efficient services to Seniors but in a vibrant, humane and respectful context (that we would want to describe even as loving) in which we want you and your loved ones to feel comfortable even considering us part of your family.

Where are we?

It is located in a mountain range at about 1400 meters above sea level which allows for privileged weather and comfortable temperatures of 50 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit year round.
